VIM 5 Getting Started
Set up your VIM 5
To get started with your Khadas VIM 5, you’ll need the following accessories:
- HDMI-compatible 1080P/4K monitor
- USB keyboard and mouse
Connect a Display
Your VIM 5 is equipped with an HDMI port, so it can connect directly to a monitor with an HDMI cable.
Supply Power
Your VIM 5 is compatible with a variety of power supplies, which are characterized by the minimum specifications for the best performance and stability.
Your VIM 5 will boot up after connecting a 12V/2A power source to the USB-C port. You will see the Khadas Logo appear on the display. If the white LED flashes in a regular pattern, the board will boot into OOWOW by default if you haven't installed any OS into the eMMC (OOWOW is factory installed on VIM 5 SPI Flash).
Install the Operating System
Once booting into OOWOW, you can follow the OOWOW wizard to install the preferred OS.
