VIM 5 does not have an IR receiver. If you require this feature, you will have to attach an IR receiver to the 40-Pin Header, and additional software configurations are required.
IR_IN (infrared signal input) is PIN_39 or GPIOD_5 on the 40-pin GPIO header.

Edit /boot/dtb/amlogic/kvim-5.dtb.overlay.env to add ir node to fdt_overlays node if it doesn't exist.

Reboot the system for this change to take effect.
