VIM 5 does not have an IR receiver. If you require this feature, you will have to attach an IR receiver to the [[products/sbc/vim-5/hardware/interfaces#gpio-header-pinout|40-Pin Header]], and additional software configurations are required.

You need to enable IR function via [[products:sbc:vim-5:configurations:device-tree-overlay|Device Tree Overlay]].

Edit ''/boot/dtb/amlogic/kvim-5.dtb.overlay.env'' to add ir node to ''fdt_overlays'' node if it doesn't exist.

Reboot the system for this change to take effect.
