The Edge-2L features onboard eMMC storage, allowing you to install [[products:sbc:edge-2l:os-images/|OS images]] directly into it.

==== Install OS into eMMC via OOWOW  ====


The Edge-2L includes the embedded [[:OOWOW]] service. ([[:OOWOW]] is an embedded service integrated into your device that can be run at any time to perform essential maintenance tasks.) You can use OOWOW to install your preferred OS directly from the cloud, which is the easiest installation method.

For Android usage, ensure the boot mode is set to ''emmc'' via [[products/sbc/edge-2l/development/kbi#boot-mode|KBI]]. Users can easily [[software/oowow/user-manual#device-configure-kbi|configure the device boot mode via OOWOW]]. By default, the ''boot-mode'' is already set to ''emmc'', so typically no change is needed.
